I was told this color shift might be related to a tyrosine/copper deficiency instead of age. Anyone have some info on the subject?

from what I can find/read... your BP may have had some type of this deficiency but this deficiency often involves disease that severely affects the immune system as well....
This is the first time I have investigated such a condition so your guess is as good as mine...
Copper aids in the conversion of Tyrosine to melanin.
