Kerby...

AND thanks Carol for the great service and obviously for the great looking corns
Kerby...

It looks like they are eating for you Ok.
LOL They are little pigs. I actually had a second clutch start to pip the day I sent those out to you. I didn't incubate these ones so they were on the shelf for around 80 days. I was just going to toss them, but I kept them around for the heck of it since some of them looked ok. I figured the worst they could do was rot. Well I have three more snakes so far and two are very interesting! I will post pics as soon as I can get a hold of a camera.
Again, I am very glad you like them!
hypo Miami's!?!?! WOW, my goal someday is to produce striped Miami's, maybe I should use my striped hypo in that project instead of my striped normal... hmmm
sweet freekin snake, does she have any more of those
?
Milksnake phase Motleys, or as Carol and I refer to them, MilkMots.
They are AWESOME! Here's my male
Here's my female
I am so glad I will be able to keep track of these guys and see them grow through all these pics! I think you guys will really like to see pics of the ones that just emerged as well. I HAVE to get a hold of a camera!
by the flash. She really has a very nice gray backround. She has the best contrast of all of it's siblings that I have seen.
I'm hoping I'll have a good sell at the shows coming up, I'm having to sell many adults and hold backs to make room for the 'special' projects I've got going!
OK, enough chit-chat, WHAT THE HECK did you hatch out!?!
One Motley and one non-Motley. I think I will hold on to the two that just pipped.
=
One Motley and one non-Motley available from the first clutch. I think I will hold on to the two that just pipped.
What did you hatch out of that second clutch?
Is it from the same father as the first?
Is there another simple recessive gene in there or is it another anomoly?
Come on Carol! I can't stand the suspense!!!
The second clutch is from the same parents, I never did a second breeding. She layed a good sized second clutch but I didn't find them for a coulpe of days so they were pretty dried out. There were so many times I was tempted to throw them out, but I just never could until they were all fuzzy.
One amel male has three saddles that split into two (or six should I say). It splits parallel to the back. I guess the best way to describe it is that is has double saddles in the same way that those chocolate emoryis have. So I was excited, some from the first clutch had one or two of those, but this one had three. No sooner was I thinking about a double saddle project, a little female crawled out that has some striping much like your male near the front, has one or two weird saddles, has another one or two fully banded saddles and then has about an inch section of split double saddles like the amel. Kind of like a wiggly stripe except the saddles don't blend on the side. She has just a few smudges of "checkers" and they are pretty faint. One more amel has hatched out since last night, no weird markings, just nice banding. And another normal is trying to emerge now that so far is "just" a really nice banded. I will try and get Jeram to bring home a camera tomarrow! This striped and double saddle girl is pretty different.
This is one of them that I have on Anole scented now. It has a rather odd Motley pattern, even some saddle splitting near the tail, like you have described.
I guess I'll have to add this little female to my ever increasing list of keepers! She'll make a great mate for the male MilkMot I got from you.
Yes, this one has a tail very similar to yours. The first "stripe" is like your males and the second "stripe" is like this one here. I think that female would be a great keeper, she has some weird striping going on near the front too. These guys are so bizarre. The amel is a little different, and although he only has three split saddles, they (unlike these others) seem to be pretty symetrical on both sides. Since it is an amel and full of yolk, I can't tell if it has checks or not. What are the checks on this one? Let me guess... A few here and there? The exciting thing is, mine are coming from a father and mother that are not showing any striping, so if they can make such weird babies, what will the weirdos make? LOL, probably some normals.
is clear, well it's lacking checkering anyway. It is pretty dark and I can see it will probably be rather peppery looking. Those are the result of two plain bellied Motley-Stripes, all of the offspring were clear on the ventral.
The parents of that one are oddly marked and I expected more 'oddness' from the offspring also. There were only a few with striping like the parents.
Hopefully, this guy from The Lazy Slither Ranch will be ready to breed next year! He fits my Motley Okeetee project very well.
