No, not snake porn.......

Although a good snake porn shot is close behind...

More like.......

The smoke after

This is Clover, found her in the "gravid girl, belly up trying to get comfy" position!! Not normally a snake keepers favorite site, seeing a snake belly up like that but gravis BRB's are notorious for that!!!!

That first pic would have made my heart sink upon walking in to that. Funny creatures, huh?

Yeah, funny what a few years of conditioning does, I saw it grinned and grabbed my camera!

nice pics dave,
do you swap all your moist hides for ones with just paper towel for the gravid girls? or is there just another one in there?

During breeding season it's just too hard to keep up on the moist hides so I switch to paper. Will be going back to damp moss hides pretty soon. Breeding is winding down. I believe half of my girls are gravid and had their POS. More are waiting on POS and some are just plain stubborn!!

I once came home to an inverted gila monster. Freaked me out. Touched her and she hissed at me as she rolled over.

In this case? Just sleeping.

Dave,
Have you noticed this behavior more after switching to the radiant heat panels? It is interesting behavior. This year Eve has'nt shown the flopped on side/belly up positions (she's only shown that once or twice in 5 pregnancies). I've seen my male Adam like this once.
Thanks for posting these pics,
Paul
