Contemplating a trip out to Del Rio for Memorial Day weekend, anybody else planning on being out that way? From the sound of it, 163 and 90 got some decent rain lately, so it may be fairly productive.

You'll have lots of company. The WTHS/AHS annual spring field trip will be held in Sanderson that weekend.

I won't be there--among other reasons, my kid has a piano recital that Saturday night. What kind of deranged teacher does that--a concert in the middle of a 3-day weekend?

My wife corrected me today...it's actually SUNDAY AFTERNOON, the most middle-point possible in the 3-day weekend.

Even without the concert, it'd be impossible for me to get down to Sanderson and back in the time allotted.

The Avalanche has already started-it is too late for the pebbles to vote....

Looks like there will plenty of people out for this weekend. I haven't booked a hotel yet, but will probably be at the Motel 6, they do not charge for a dog. I will be out observing in a silver ford f-150. I will have my dog and a friend with me. Not sure which area I will hit, Ill be keeping tabs on precipitation and going from there, but I would really like to hit Pandale Dirt.

Good luck Mike. I hope you find one just not before we do. We will also be in a silver ford pickup. We are going to be down Weds. night through Sun morning. We're saving Juno, pandale and 277 for Sat. night so we are closer to home on Sunday. Chris

In situ shots of alterna and lepidus are my highest priority this summer. I'm hoping on multiple trips out there this year to get some good shots.
