Hello,

I can't say much about Blues since I haven't worked with them, however that being said, most sources indicate they're similar in care, size, and temprement to the Taiwans. I have a pair of Taiwans and can tell you this in brief. They're large snakes as adults and active so give them large arboreal-type enclosures. They are fairly docile but can be aggressive, especially at feeding times. Care is pretty similar to many other ratsnakes. Temps need to be in the mid 80's to high 70's. Some people brumate them in the winter however I don't. I've heard of them supposedly needing to be kept cooler than other ratsnakes but I've only been able to attribute that to one single source. I monitor the weather conditions in Taiwan via the weather channel website and I can say the weather pretty closely follows our own weather where I live (Chicago). I've kept my snakes in an un-air-conditioned apartment for two years now and even though we get some days above 90 my snakes have experienced no problems. I also run a misting system that comes on twice a day and that has helped keep them cooler when it's been hotter. All in all I'd said they're very interesting snakes and well worth the effort.
