A Little Off Topic, But Beautiful !!!!

fgs May 09, 2009 12:56 AM

I know these aren't what you were expecting to see, but I figured you guys appreciate beautiful snakes no matter what kind they are. Many of my boa breeder friends like pieds so I thought I'd share these two guys with you all.
My good friend Chris Simoni called me up a few months ago and asked if I would try to prove out one of his poss het pied females. We got lucky and produced these two beautiful male pieds today. These are the first pieds either one of us has ever produced.
These photos were taken tonight minutes after they hatched.

I look forward to seeing many of you next weekend at the Herp World Expo, taking place at the Cow Palace in South San Fransisco.
I hope everyone is having a great season.

Congrats Brian!!!! Does that mean one of the pied's is yours????
There are a few ball pythons I'd like to have just as pets, because there are some nice morph.

Derek:

Yes, I'm keeping the high white male. I'm expecting another clutch to drop in a few weeks from a pied to het breeding. The pied morph is what got me into ball pythons years ago. It is by far my favorite morph.

See you next weekend bud.....

Hey buddy thanks a lot for the compliment. In my opinion pieds are one of the most beautiful snakes on the planet. It's exciting to finally produce some. In future seasons I plan on producing an army of them.

Hey how is that ghost of yours doing. When is she due to drop?

They are pretty cool, if I were to have a "pet rock", that would be the kind I'd want!!!

I have no idea on the ghost, still huge, still no signs of actually dropping anything.

But those guys are stunning! If I were to ever get into BP's I'd definately grab one of those!

Very nice,

After seeing a photo of a pied many years ago I was hooked on this morph. It is by far my favorite ball python morph. I produced two clutches two years in a row from a het to het breeding with out producing a single pied. It is so exciting to have finally produced some. My whole ball python collection hinges on this morph. In the future I plan on mixing in the pied gene into other morphs to produce an aray of designer morphs.

Too bad we don't have a pied gene floating around in the boa projects.

Happy Mothers Day everyone.
