Need help with cage materials

jrbl Sep 13, 2003 03:52 AM

I konw that glass reflects the rays of the sun and stuff, so I assume plexiglass does as well. So I was wondering if there is something that wont reflact or filter out the suns rays, but will also keep heat, humidity, etc inside the enclosure. It would not have to be anything too strong, but it would be nice if it would last a while. I was thinking about using some of that clear plastic that they use for greenhouses. I just think that grrenhouse plastic would hold up for too long. Any help or any input what-so-ever would be appreciated. Thanks, jrbl

Only certain types of glass filter out the sun's rays. But if you are making a cage, tempered glass is your best bet, just look for a UVa or UVb protection on it, and avoid that one
