Thanks,

Very impressive! Got two northerns, both sold to me as "high white", even the pics looked really white. Both snakes are really nice but neither is even close to that beauty! How the heck do I get a true "high white" animal?
I once asked the same question about the two smaller pines pictured. As babies they were creamish. The female turned bone white, the male not so much. If yours are still young "high white" northerns they may still get whiter. One guy on here told of a bone white northern that turned red as it matured. I guess knowing what the parents look like is the best bet, but still no sure thing.
of my female. Nice but very cream colored. The parents, Russ P. line, are/were awesome. I guess Russ's female just died recently.

Well not really. She's still growing like a weed.

SCHWEET!!!

Northerns can go through a various amount of color changes as they grow. I have one that changed colors 3 times before it has now settled into what appears to be a hi-white animal.
I have seen hi whites turn red and/or ash gray, and I have seen a red-as-okeetee-corn baby turn hi white.
In other words, it is so very hard to determine as babies how they will turn out.
All their colors though, whether hi white or white with red, etc., are awesome!!

Thanks guys for the useful information. I love the one's I got, one and '07, the other an '08.
The '07 is morphing-out really nice with lots of rust in her rear blotches and her ground color is lightening up.
Sometimes the '08 looks pretty white, then goes "muddy". One thing that might be telling is the "dirt" on the anterior edges of the scales. That shot of the bone colored young one doesn't show that at all so maybe that's a sign...super clean look and I really like that coloration.
I'll come back with some recent pics as soon as I get a chance to take some.
In either case, Pines are regal and magnificent animals regardless.
Cheers,
Brad
Your northerns are awesome!
What line are they?

Thanks, the big male is unknown. Picked him up with no history at a show. The younger pair I got as hatchlings from Russ Pascatore. Hope I'm not mispelling his name.
