I am new to these guys but sure like them. I understand there are some visual differences between locales. This one is from South Carolina. Can you guys post some of yours and where they are from and what husbandry tips you might have for yours?
Thanks,
Andy

That's a killer female and good luck with the eggs. I have about a 5 inch juvenile that I am having difficulty feeding, any tips?

email me for a care sheet of sorts.
That said, I am assuming he's a wc and he wants lizard prey. More specifically skinks.
Locate a ground skink or 5 lined, what you may have in the area, and us its saliva to scent parts of pink mice you have thawed and placed in the cage with your snake.
He'll appreciate a box w/ moist sphagnum moss as a hide and of course, fresh water in another bowl.
Temps. from 75F to 85F are good.
Good luck!

Heres one from Naples Fla. Sometimes almost impossible to get them on mice. They love thier lizards.

Nearly every subadult/adult wc I have took rodents right away. The little guys take some time but are not that difficult in my experience.
All will take skinks.

I have had about 50% take unscented right away. Another 25% require scenting, and maybe 25% (usually the ones too small to take pinks) requiring skinks. My experience is with NC and SC scarlets/coastals.

I have had more success getting scarlet kings onto rodents than mole kings.

Scarlet kings like this one shown with dark red and "hi-lighter" yellow are the prettiest. The ones w/o bright yellow just look like milk snakes.
