boa enclosure temp regulation

pigman May 10, 2009 11:48 PM

My herp room is around 96 degrees ambient temp. My Boa needs around 82 to 86 degrees ambient. any ideas on how to cool down just the boa tank? I might have to move the tank out of that room I think. My wife really doesn't like snakes but she'll have to deal with it for the summer i guess. Did I just answer my own Question? hmmm

Yes you did lol! Also note that right around that temp and higher
can cause problems. Also 106 I think is the level for regurge
and other more fatal problems. Air conditioner maybe?? Have a
good one.

I got the ambient temp down to 87. really don't know how to get it any lower.

Definately better. Have you tried blowing fans?

Air Conditioning!!!

Either a single room unit or even fans blowing across damp towels (poor man's swamp cooler) would help.
