Lewisi and Caymanensis squaring off

Mark M May 11, 2009 12:47 AM

Let my lewisi male roam the yard today, and all he wanted to do was threaten my caymanensis male for hours. Kind of interesting.

I will, but i have learned trying to catch the color blue in photos is tough. They seem to photo better on over-cast days. On sunny days, the blue looks whitish. So I am waiting for an overcast day because I want some cyclura pics for my website.

I don't know if I posted this pic before or not, but my caymanensis's head is generally very yellow, but in the bright sun it photographs very whitish.

They are beautiful! Can you tell me how much they weigh? just curious.

Steno May 13, 2009 04:00 PM

Thanks Mark, they are VERY nice specimens of hard to find species! I'd like really a lot to have the chance to get pure bred caymanensis or lewisi instead all those mutts usually offered for sale...

Actually the lewisi is a hybrid, but at least 87%, but could be higher. I just call him (and her) lewisi because they look pure. The caymanensis is pure and I have two bloodlines.

Mark even the caymanensis have been mutted out. I hope your keeping them pure although I'm sure you are after speaking with you...
