Ellensburg Round 2

AndyH May 11, 2009 07:21 PM

A couple friends and I took a two day hiking and herping trip out to the same general location as last weekend near Ellensburg, WA. The weather was better this time around, and the snakes were really out and about.

The final count was:
-6 Gopher Snakes
-1 Northern Pacific Ratter
-4 Racers
-1 Northwestern Garter

Plus a Northern Scorpion and a Black Widow.

Enjoy the pics!

The tiniest gopher

The largest was about 4ft.

This was only one that held still long enough to photograph

Man those racers like to bite!
