If a eastern hatchling is born this year, how old or long should it be to reach maturity to breed and lay eggs? Male and Female? Thanks B

It's a slow process. You should figure on waiting about 5 years before breeding attempting to breed your indigos.

"Results may vary..."
If he's put on size and well cared for, a male can easily breed before he's three years old. You may be successful having a female breed that young, but there's a good chance she'll not be able to pass eggs. Obese females often have trouble passing eggs. Otherwise, a female over five feet should be OK.
