Thermostat query

anti May 12, 2009 01:40 PM

I've just received a Komodo Habitat Thermostat, and am not sure how to regulate it. It has a temperature dial but it does not have an arrow to mark exactly where it's pointing and it seems that you can keep moving it around forever....

How do I know where I need to set it to get the thermostat working at 90 degrees?

Do I need to do a trial and error exercise until I see the thermostat working to know where to set it?

Thanks

I have never used one of those but have kane heat mats with a dial therma stat. The best thing to do is set it at the lowest spot and plug it in, go in and check it with a temp gun in a couple hours and then make your adjustments from there. I have also learned by using the helix thermastats that just because I have it set at 88 does not mean that is the temp, because the floor temp was in the upper ninetys. Temp gun is the way to go.

Good Luck
