male leo lonely?

have a 55 gallon breeding tank that housed 6 females and 1 male all adults .I took the male out because he was getting aggressive with 2 of the females.I took him out about 3 weeks ago now he wanders around his new cage won't eat and is having problems shedding.I even put his favorite rock/hide in with him and his setup is the same only in 20 gallon instead of a 55 could he be lonely?My females are doing good now and laying eggs.any ideas would be appreciated.thanks

He is probably just stressed from the change of environment. He will settle down. Reptiles don't need 'friends' (their brain is not wired that way).
