Thanks for the hatchling pics Maria...
It is amazing how much that little yellow leonis has changed.
Some of the grey speckles on the yellow ground color makes him look greenish.....Cool ontogenetic change in my opinion....

Here is another shot of him...I wondered why it looked like he had so many colors on him....His head and back are still showing some yellow.....

That's a great shot of him, John!
He hatched out a fluorescent yellow and I thought that he would turn more green over time. He obviously went the other way towards greyish/yellow-green. He probably went through more ontogenetic changes than any other thayeri I've had and watched grow. That thayeri trait alone, in my mind, makes them the most interesting species to own
