Black pupils on a Albino Boa

brd May 14, 2009 04:02 PM

I bought a baby albino boa a couple of years ago that is 50% possible het anery. When he was a baby his eyes were all white. I wondered at first if he could see but he sees just fine. His pupils are now jet black and I was wondering if anyone else has seen black pupils on an albino boa. Could it have something to do with the anery gene? Any input would be appreaciated. I tried to get pics but the flash ruins them. I even took him into a room with low light so the pupils would really open up but the flash ruins them. I just don't know how to get a good pic. What do you think? Thanks, Brian

Probably higher light no flash. Macro setting on.
