Howdy Greg, how are your snappers growing?I just got my 100lber to eat vegetables/fruit for the first time.To tell the truth I think he would eat a kitchen sink if I put one in there! He ate a yaccu root the size of 2 potatoes and a mango fruit last night. I'd been feeding him whole chicken halves which he swallows whole. But I'm trying not to overfeed him.How bout some pics? my turtles are doing great. all are outside and loving it. got a new snapper friday, 10 inch female common. some guy had her in his pond as a pet, but wanted to swap her out in favor of the more visually pleasing RES, Painted, etc. she is a lil light, but is eating like, well, a snapper. 2 days and already been through a dozen shiners and a breast of chicken. heres a pic

I've been hiding under my shell for the past couple of months. But I've been keeping up with the forum, but haven't put my two cents in on any of the the questions cause many of the advices are pretty good.

But I'am still searching for that great white ali'snap.

Anychance you came upon any more cool pics, especially those japanese ones?

That "albino" snapper that they have up on the classifieds looks like it has dark eyes instead of pink or red like a true albino. You think it might be the lighting?

See Ya,

hey

havent really found anymore cool new japanese stuff. ill look tonight though. as for the "albino" common in the classifieds, who knows whats really going on there? not albino, no red eyes. doesnt appear leucistic, no blue eyes. of course i know didly-squat about color and pigment abberations, i could be wrong. only thing i know is that the guy wants a WHOLE LOT for that turtle. i could get a set up like kevins for an adult ally for the price that guy wants for that common. if he came down to something reasonable, id be interested though....

Hey Greg-

If it was a "true" albino, it might just sound tempting to not eat for a couple of months for it.

I wonder if no one is buying it cause of its questionable eye color?

Hmmmmmm . . .

Hey Greg-

Just got a reply from Xtreme Reptiles and according to them, its eyes are ruby red.
