YUM a young DUDE

PHEve May 15, 2009 12:59 AM

This young super colorful fellow just melts your heart, such cuteness, he's seems to be atleast a yearling or older, but still sports some orangey along with his awesome yellows and blues coming in, orangey head, and he brought his own lovely ladies with him as well. Wahissa, and Nolcha. They all are from a locale in New Mexico, a good friend sent them to me.

Yum, male c. collaris/ New Mexico Fancy

Nice new collareds, Eve.

They remind me of my first breeding group of collareds.
I like the baileyi look, but they also look like there is some auriceps influence. A lot of populations in that area seem to have males that look more like baileyi and the auriceps influence shows up more in the females. (I know, they are not really accepted subspecies anymore, but I still like to reffer to them that way. Just old school, I guess.)
Thanks for sharing the pics.
Nick

Thanks Nick, Sig, they are cool lizards for sure. I also agree on the subspecies and old school thing, lol, I don't like the fact they are not aurecips, and just refer to them as Yellowheads!

In any case they and the baileyi are very pretty!

Nice group of lizards i like the male he is so colourfull.

in the Netherlands (europe) where i live we still use the name auriceps and bailey so our whole country is old school.

@sigmo why dont you have a change in germany to get those lizards??

Sigmo May 15, 2009 04:15 PM

Hallo dragonlove,

i thing you are a new member of our forum "halsbandleguan-forum.de" is this right ?

How i will become so special lizzards ? In Germany (Europe) there are only a few people who have original, for example Utah-Lizzards (Auriceps). By originals I mean no brother and sister couple.

Vestigum or dickersonae are not at all (only collaris and bicinctoris) and from collaris not so colorfull animals how Eve. I love his pictures from his lizzards more . . . .
