Red Phase NP Mating

Pine_Snake_Piney May 15, 2009 04:04 PM

Here is one of my red phase females breeding with a male yellow phase. Both animals have yet to shed after coming out of a full 5-month hibernation. Their skin is really dull, but they woke up hungry and very much in the mood to breed. During hibernation, their temps went into the low 40s, which some say is too low but they pulled through just fine. I hope you enjoy!

Another shot. The tails of both animals were vibrating like a rattlesnake's tail!!

Thanks Thomas
I have two big red phase females. Both are John Ginter's stock, originally from Burlington Co. in the New Jersey Pine Barrens. The other female is really aggressive and she has showed no interest in mating...just eating. Perhaps next year for her? Who knows. I'll be happy to post more pix as time allows.
Thanks again!!
