Ackies go fast usually.
I say usually but then again so do beardies.
Many people who breed them sell them right away, and have customers lined up ahead of time to take them and no adds are posted.
In turn I also find that sometimes people are not interested, during fall and winter sometimes reptiles sit for months without selling. Ive bred 2 generations of red ackies and had trouble at a few times getting them to move, then when I stopped hatching eggs in spring and summer people complained that I should hatch them, that they would buy them, or take the eggs at least. My experience those types arent interested or by the time the actual animal is available they got impatient and moved on to an easier reptile to find and are not interested. The same happened with beardies, a good friend sold them for me at one time, and had to trade some off to move some.
Too many arent serious enough to produce cash, but they want to trade. I wasnt interested in dealing with customers, or ripoff artists that try to get things for free so a friend offered to deal with them for me, and a small cut.
You know I had a large BT that was given to me (at the time he wasnt large until I had him for a while). I offered him up to sell cheap, no takers. I offered to give him away, no takers would be serious to even pay for shipping. Eventually a year later and dealing with someone who was on this forum at the time for almost a year, they didnt want him to go to anyone else, but they bought 4-6 other animals in that time that they just needed to pay shipping and recieve him.
I gave the lizard away and had disappointed people ask afterwards offering to pay a good amount for the lizard.
Breeding the lizards is easier than dealing with people, BY FAR.
