OK ANOTHER QUESTION

dskagen May 15, 2009 11:54 PM

Sorry for all the questions, but this is prity much "my" first year breeding, I've kept herps on and off for the last 11 years. I actually breed my first pair of snakes when I was 13 with some help from a teacher of mine, and my western hogs seemed to to just do everything automatically, and I never had any problems with them, sadly I don't have those snakes any more.
This year I had three pairs of corns going, I got my first clutch about a week ago 13 good eggs from a pair of sunglow motleys het lavs. and my 5 1/2 ft. anery het snow is set to go in about 6 more days. but my Abbott Okeetees that i thought went threw her prelay shed 12 days ago looks like she is going into blue tonight and am worried that something is off has anyone had a snake shed three times before laying?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

thank you
Darin

Happens all the time-for my corns, about 1/4-1/3 of the females lay after their third shed. The problem is, if you don't catch it and put in a male after the second shed, you may find yourself with a clutch of unfertilized eggs.
