Texas hb1500

It looks like Tx HB 1500 that will allow roadhunting again will get a vote this week. It was passed out of committee 8-0 and is going to the full house. Now is the time to contact your representative in Austin.

If this is allowed, here is a link:

HB 1500 is still in the house. It is scheduled for a vote in committee soon and hopefully on to the senate.
The Language of 1500 was attached to HB3391 in the house. It was voted on and sent to the Senate. Senator Hegan is the sponsor of the bill. For whatever reason, he removed the language of 1500 from the bill (for now). Fortunately his office is in talks with Tracy King’s office about reattaching the language.
We need Senator Uresti's help to re-introduce the amendment so that Sen. Hegan will put it back in. We have spoken to Jerry (one of his staffers working on the bill) and things look hopeful. Jerry seemed genuinely concerned and listened. So when you call, please please please be polite, keep it short and express your support. They know the issues so they don't need a full rundown at this point. Just call, register your support, ask him to PLEASE introduce the amendment (language of 1500 into HB3391) and keep your fingers crossed. Don't call Tracy Kings office, they (Rep. King and LaTronda) are all over this already so there is nothing to be accomplished by calling. They have went above and beyond for us and we owe them big time.
In Short:
Remember, HB 1500 is alive and well. We're concentrating on HB3391 right now. If it passes with the language of 1500 in it, we're good to go. At this point, it’s our best bet for overturning the road hunting ban. Joe Forks and HCU have hired a lobbyist who is keeping on top of all this as well. If you’re going to call, do it early Monday morning and call Sen. Uresti's office asking him to re-introduce the language of 1500 into HB3391. Did I mention BE POLITE and Keep it short. We need his help.

Thanks for the update. I get automatic email updates in HB1500, and the latest said it passed out of committee and was going to the full house. I'll be sure to keep an eye on the other bill.
