weird double egg

boxienuts May 16, 2009 10:54 PM

My anery motley began laying eggs today, she is still laying and looks like she still has several to go, but she just laid a double egg, it looks like it might be OK and will likely hatch out 2 baby snakes, we shall see, it will be interesting to see if they are the same or different looking if and when they hatch.

Actually, we get a few like that every year. Usually, they go bad during incubation. I can't say that ANY of them that might have went full term ever gave us two hatchlings. All of our twins have been from regular looking eggs only.

Sorry,
KJ

I've seen that before, and the egg went bad on me. Best of luck.

it's probably 2 eggs in one shell....I had a female that would lay triples...she did it a few times , one year I hatched two fot eh three and the next year the one was dead and rotted all of them out....

mine was an anery that would do it......
