A quick question on a proven Xmas Mtn female that laid 3 eggs on Thursday (5/14), a single egg on Friday (5/15), and clearly has 3 more still at the vent. How long do I wait before I consider her eggbound & take her to a Vet? I've never had pythons string out a clutch over multiple days & thought I'd use the expertise on this forum.

I had to take her to the vet to have the remaining eggs removed. Is it normal for Gray Bands to have a delay in laying her clutch?

I have never bred alterna and have very limited experience breeding herps in general so I am sorry that I can't be of much help. I am glad to hear the vet was able to assist and wish you luck with the incubation of the few that you have.

I am surprised no one has responded to your questions considering the number of breeders that frequent this forum. I guess the only thing I can suggest is starting a new thread about the rain in Texas and try to slide the question in there.

Sorry, I know i am a day late, but my fingings are that {most) Alterna females begin laying at night and are usually done laying by the next morning or a few hours after. It could go as long as 24 hours, but that is really not typical. If it goes more than 24 hours i know somthing is wrong.
