Sunglow Motley litter!!!

cbmorphs May 18, 2009 08:55 AM

Here's a litter born on 5/5/09 between a 06 Coral Sunglow dame X Motley het Albino sire, produced by Peter Kahl...

This litter was born at the same time as the Arabesque het Squaretail Albino litter. Very exciting!!! wow

I tried for the Albino Motley last year with this male & a 05 Coral Albino, I guess he wasn't ready. I also tried with a J. Stone produced Motley poss het Albino X 04 Albino female but he didn't prove to be het. but I did get 3 Motleys 100% het. I'm very fortunate for those 3... Thanks Jeremy!

So this year, I used the 06 Kahl Motley again with a Coral Sunglow female and yes it happened! AMEN!!! I got Sunglows and a Albino Motley along with some other nice Motleys 100% het Coral line Albino.... I couldn't be happier with the results...thanks Pete!

There were 18 healthy babies born in this litter, zero slugs!
3 Sunglow Motleys (2 males,1 female),
1 Albino Motley(MALE!!),
2 Hypo and 2 Normal Motleys 100% het Kahl line Albino...

Theres 2 Sunglows 1 of them is Coral, 4 Albinos of which 2 are Coral, 2 Hypos and 2 normals 100% het Albino... The Normal Hypo and Hypo Motleys aren't real colorful, but they are healthy...

A couple of the Albinos and Sunglows look like they may be Coral line for sure, I don't know yet with the Sunglow Motleys as they haven't shed... I'll post pics of them later this week when they shed..

Thanks for looking, and good luck to everyone having and expecting litters yet this year!

Here's one of the dame, I don't have a current one of the sire, but here's one of them breeding or courting! I'll post updated pics of both of them later this week along with post shed pics of the babies...
These aren't the best pics but they should give you an idea... The dame doesn't have the strongest Coral influence I've seen, but she is a Coral Sunglow....

Thanks for the interest,

Very nice!! And on a side note, it is always good to see a really
THICK patterned Motley! A lot of Motleys now days are lacking
that due to whomever breeding to just any female. Im going to
put a Motley to my MYSTERY Female, (when I get a Motley). There
is also a chance this is a male, I need someone to probe her.

And here is why I think it is a male. Sorry for the lame pic

The person I got her from did not know how to care for Longi
influenced animals I guess, she has some scaring as you can tell

Looks possible! Take it to a skilled vet, they could probe it for you.

Good luck on finding a skilled Vet..

That will be an interesting outcome! Hopefully you have a female, she looks to be pretty good size!

Thanks,

I have to agree with you Richard, Sunglow Motleys are awesome, this is the first time I've seen them in person. I can't wait for them to shed so I can see their colors better...
