beardiedragon Sep 13, 2003 02:15 PM

just got some Acidophiliz and Leapin Lizards Electrolytes from pet authority. I noticed they both contain vitamin A. should I be concerned? should I not use it, use it weekly, daily (like they recomend)???

Is it pre-formed vit. A or is it betacarotine? If it is the latter, don't worry. If it is vit. A what is the concentration(I.U./Kg)? Concentrations up to 30,000 I.U./Kilo is safe for daily usage.
Hope this helps.

I am giving the Acidophiliz to my female Disa too – and I am already concerned about her intake of Vitamin-A. I didn’t even know that Acidophiliz contains that!! Now when I look at the bottle I see that it simply say “vitamin A” not how much. This really concerns me…

Disa has problems with her stomach and I give her Acidophiliz to help that, but if she gets too much vitamin A that is even worse…
