courtship injuries

I had my female snow back out in the grass today and I noticed 4-5 minor injuries on her that i can only assume is "love bites" from my male. Is this common? They have been housed together for 2 weeks now, she just shed yesterday, but i was wondering if I need to separate them and call it a year?

Bites along the neck are not uncommon. Unless they are really deep I wouldn't worry about it. If you are concerned I wouldn't let them stay together for so long. Introduce them for 2 or 3 day periods every 7-10 days until you see a successful mating or feel that she has ovulated.
