Breeding Weight

I know the minimum accepted breeding weight is around 1000g. However, have any of you guys found that breeding a female of 1000g may keep her potential for reaching her natural maximum size down? Also, what have common clutch sizes been for a female around this weight, and are there any frequent problems (egg binding, etc...)?
