I was thinking for a bit that it was male, though I purchased as
a female. and since my partner in all of this has the space, they are at his house, but this is what I saw today.

This is what I would call a Hypermel, but I could be mistaken...

A while ago I had a awesome Pastel that resembled a false T+
looking animal, and he mounted her. Maybe consimation? It was
like a year or 2 possibly ago, but again I thought since with the
spurs being long, I assumed male. I thought I saw courting but
it could have been 'snuggling'

Kenny is that Longi a rescue? I don't wanna seem like Debbie Downer here, but he looks really dehydrated and/or burned. I'm not for sure that's what it is but I have seen rescue snakes that look an awful lot like that.

Yes I got her from a lady that knew NOTHING about Longicauda's.
I know she is not pure, but only Longi's have that head. You
should have seen her when I first got her. Longi's need to have
more humidity than BCI. She obviously neglected her. I have been
trying for 2 years almost to bring her back to prime, and I am
excited because she is so close! Sheis pretty scarred from all
the trouble sheds she had thrughout her life, but is going away.
The funny thing is she is probably 4x darker, and keeps getting
blacker with each horrible shed. Thanks Sra!!

I though am not quite convinced she is a Jungle. Granted she is
100% abberant, but she was an Import from Baranquilla. If she is
Jungle however, it would be a new line (yay!). Im going to breed
her to a non Hypo- Color (Snow), and breed a son back to her to
further prove things out! My camera died or I would have been
able to get pics of my 07' Ghost 66% het Albino male. He is a
sweet animal, but have nothing het Albino to breed im to so I
think I might pass him on. We will see though. He is one of the
most beautiful Ghosts I have laid my eyes on (THANKS JUSTIN H!!)

I also forgot the Poss Super Hypo Nic 66% het Type II as well

Both above shot are a few months old, but are grea representation
of each animal.

You have some gorgeous boas. I'm glad that longi is in good hands now... I sure do love those guys! I don't know why someone without any experience would go buy a snake like that though? I haven't read anywhere that they need higher humidity but I have noticed mine cannot defecate without being sprayed at least once a day (it's real dry here) whereas my other snakes will do just okay. That's a real nice ghost, let me know if you really wanna let him go! You have a great collection, you should be proud of it!!

think I have a nice collection? Over here there is a few people
that talk bad abut my collection saying that I have too many
loose ends. I just tell them I have what I have and if they have
and opinion keep it to their self (I dont talk to them anymore)!

I appreciate your kind words and thank you very much!!

Yeah there is no acticle relating higher humidity, but like you
said, they will not drop fecal matter unless she is sprayed. She
gets sprayed 2x a day, and she went from scatter (millions) sheds
to now about 1/2 and 1/2. The awesome thing is that her scaring
is white (tail area) then after a few sheds turns black! Wow Im
thinking. She is getting thicker dots up her neck so I know it
very well might finally go up to her neck. That was the only
place she got no black. Here is a older pic. Note the salmon
scales, and then the little white dots. Then the stripe. The
white dots are the scars that have not turned black yet

This is also a older pics to show or try to show her pattern

Definately a lot of scaring, but in my care I know that she will
have the upmost care, and I wont have to worry about her going
to someone else. I do dig the faded pattern, hopefully one day
she will shed enough to look a lot better!! Have a great day Sra!

Well first of all, very nice looking Boas!

My question: what do you call the one that you have the hook on? I haven't kept up with morphs but man, I really like that one. Looks sorta like a hypo but it's very clean and light.

TIA

symetryexotics May 22, 2009 05:51 PM

He is known as a Calico Sunset 50% het Albino. I feel He should
be called a Paradox Sunset (Super Hypo Hogg)50% het Albino. A
lot of people thnk that Sunsets are 50% 50% cross, but from D&M
it is the Duel Hypomelonism that the Super Form of Hypo and the
Blonde Hypomelonism from a Hogg is combined. He is the WHITEST
Hypo I have seen yet. I thnk Kyle showed one that was CLOSE
though. Here he is a month or so ago

He is only a couple shades away from being a match with the paper towell

I hope that answer s your question and thank you for looking. If
I am not too clear (I wrote it fast) PLEASE, let me know and I
can be WAY more specific for you. Have a great afternoon!!

Thaks for your interest, keep checking back and hopefully I will
have something for you one day.
God Bless

What is it and where do I get one? That dark boa is beautiful. Is it just because it is shedding or is it actually that dark all the time? Is it a leopard or such? New to the realm of boas and I just know that snake is awesome looking and I want one. Please post or email me and let me know please. More pictures of that one post shed would be great as well.
