I dont know how much longer I can wait...the eggs have been incubated at 84 degrees for 7 weeks, and have been "indented" for about 5 days. How much longer could it possibly be.

I just hatched 2 clutchs of albino nelsons. Both incubated at 80F. First clutch hatched at 78 days - second at 71 days. Neither clutch ever dented. Hope that helps.

Sometimes they "cave in" a little at the end of the incubation period and sometimes they don't. If they cave in early in the incubation period, I wouldn't think that would be a good sign. That would indicate that they were infertile to begin with, or the embryo died and the egg is losing water through the shell and back into the medium. If they cave in a little during the last week or so of incubation, i wouldn't worry about it. I would attribute that to an increase in metabolism in the embryo causign it to use water a little faster.
