This is a male I recently hung out with. Az collaris seem to be pretty wary and it's difficult to get close pictures. I spent about 2 hours with this guy.

And a handsome guy! You take the best pics, Will! I like the general scene as much as the collared! 
Each time I see one of your pics I think it is the best EVER. And then you outdo yourself! I agree with Donna...the background is indeed exquisite! Keep 'em coming!

I know what you mean about those collaris in AZ. I have been to a few places where close aproach was nearly impossible. I think it may have something to do with the habitat, too. It seems like the absence of good hiding places makes the collareds run for cover sooner.
