I'm pretty new to snakes.

I'm curious about shedding and how often it happens.

My bull is "supposed" to be 15 years old, but I have no way of telling how old she is. But her eyes are opaque blue and it looks like she may be shedding soon. At that age shouldn't they only be shedding a couple times a year?

My husband is concerned she may have retained eye caps perhaps, since the guy told us she shed a month ago. Since she came in this mesh cage, she's had no humidity whatsoever, and I know snakes need an amount of humidity to shed efficiently.

Here's a pic I got of her once I was finally able to stop her tantrum last night to clean the cage.

Her belly should also show some "blue" and an overall dull appearance. It looks like she is going into a shed phase. Mine shed about once a month or 6 weeks and they are an older male, age unknown, 6 1/2', and a 4 year old female 4 1/2'. They can use a very large water bowl to soak in if they need to.

She is getting ready to shed mate ... No prob at all... the amount they shed really dpends on how much she eats ... Snakes never stop growing ... they just slow down a bit
