Bins With or Without Cupholders

ROC May 22, 2009 08:19 PM

I wanted to ask everyone, especially those who've kept a large collection of balls for awhile, which do you perfer, bins with or without cup holders? Has tipping of loose water bowls been a big issue in your collection?

I use crocks. They don't usually tip.

Thirty balls probably doesn't qualify as a large collection, at least not in this crowd, but I have had my ARS rack with cup holders for going on two years, and I really love the tubs. Only reason I can think of not to get cup holders is if you are going to use printed or unprinted newspaper in the bottom of the tubs. Otherwise, you can't beat the convenience of disposable cups.

I love the built in holder. No spills and just drop in a new disposable bowl whenever you need to.

Well, guess they work even with newspaper. LOL.

I would most likely be in favor of using the bins with biult in cups. I do not use tham and have not, but I have had issues with water being dumped. im not too sure how big the cups are, but I prefer a bowl the snakes can soak in. I found some great dog bowls at Walmart They are hollow underneath and really deep. They are awesome because smaller snakes can hide under them and soak, I have 1000 gram females that sqeeze under them also. They are hard to tip. also dollor tree has some plastic large dog bowls for a dollar of course that are deep and cannot be tipped.

If you can afford it, get the ones with cupholders! They are an amazing timesaver and really facilitate keeping fresh, clean water in front of your animals at all times-which is, in my opinion, THE #1 way to keep your collection healthy....
