Can anyone fill me in on what areas of Afghanistan V. bengalensis inhabits? Also, what time of year do they usually come out of brumation?

I'm actually in Afghanistan right now. I'm at Bagram Air Field which is about 30 miles north of Kabul. Its in the north east part of the country. I can only guess that they are from the south west part of the country near Iran. The north and north east parts of the country are on average at least 5000 ft elevation and very cold in the winter. I'm a pilot and have flown all over the country. The terrain is absolutely crazy in the north and along the Pakistan border. I'm almost positive they would only exist in the south west around where Kandahar is.
