Mites/Fire Salamander

i was wondering what mites were....there are little white things crawling around on my fire salamander..WHAT DO I DO?!

This is probably nothing to worry about overmuch (they are probably not parasitic), but you should try to get rid of them. Clean the vivarium and all the furnishings. Replace the substrate. Bathe the salamander in water and place back in vivarium. Don't let uneaten food remain in the vivarium. Clean the vivarium out regularly.
