I am not sure but if i recall correctly it was 17.
Most of my early clucthes were a lot smaller in the 11 range. Those clutches are from first time breeding 2 year old females that are not very big *see below pic.
Most of my large adults just finished breeding and i have some that are currently breeding. So it is a later than normal year for me.
*small female triple het (Peanut butter x hypo x axanthic). And no- that is not her "Lay box". I just placed her and the eggs for the pic.

ok cool and congrats what did she pair up with?

She paired up with another triple het male )PB x Hypo x Axanthic) ..so i am expecting some nice locality morphs from that breeding. I had 4 or 5 females of the same triple hets that laid as well.
Can't wait to see what these will look like.

Man same here please post pics when they hatch!
Rainer I hate to ask but I can't help myself. Does your trash can double as a nesting box or did she escape and lay in the trash can?

Neither.
That was just a small plastic bag that was laying there when i was moving the snake and eggs around. I don't always set up my snake for nice pics.
But now that you mentioned it. I started using large black trash bags mixed with laying substrate- sand X Peat X perlite x vermiculaite x organic soil conditioner ect,,or whatever else I find laying around.
Snakes love trash in the wild. We look for snakes in trash. They love carpet, plastic bags, plastic, metal ect. So why not use these materials that appeal to them for an egg laying box? I am just experimenting now with more options.
I might even use a large trash can filled with egg laying substrate and different layers of plastic trash bags and boards. I planning on vacation later in June so I want to come up with a way that where sevral females will be able to nest (tunnel) without me checking them every few days..

The big trash can filled with laying substrate, with boards and black bags mixed in sounds like a very effective option.
Are you doing any straight hillsborough co. sulfur to hillsborough co. sulfur breedings these days?
-----
Randy Whittington
Nope. The sulfurs are getting a little old for me now. The only common thing I wish I had more of are the Mosaics. I lost three to a heating accident and one gravid female escaped on me a month ago.

There are a lot of sulfurs being bred into other things but I don't know of anyone producing straight sulfurs, do you?
While the sulfur gene is common, plain old hillsborough co. sulfurs appear to be far from common.
If anyone reading this is breeding them please send me an e-mail.
