Could it be vitamin A toxicity?

Is it vitamin A toxicity?

I have noticed that my female Disa’s throat is swollen. At least much more swollen than it used to be. I have heard that that vitamin-A toxicity *might* be the cause. Does anyone know more about this? I want to learn more about this so I know what to do…

What else can it be (if not vitamin-A toxicity), if she has a swollen throat?

I have 4 more dragons and none of them has the same symptom. They have all got the same food. What veggies are rich in vitamin A? I use a vitamin called “Rep Cal’s Herptivite” and that one only contains betacarotene – so I don’t think it is the vitamins that has caused this.

I have heard that cabbage is supposed to cure vitamin-A toxicity. Is that right? What kind of cabbage?
The kind of cabbage at the picture below? (Sorry, I am Swedish and I have to make sure I give my female the right stuff…) Is it harmless to give cabbage even if she doesn’t *have* vitamin A toxicity? Or is cabbage rich in phosphor?

Unfortunately I don’t have any pictures of her where this is visible.

Thanks for your help!

The form of vitamin A contained in vegetables is also carotenes, the same non-toxic (precursor) form as that found in Rep-Cal. It is only animal products like liver, eggs or fish oils that contain retinol, the potentially toxic form of vitamin A.
