Just curious, how does an Ackie prepare you for other monitors. Is it the basic husbantry and see what you would need to do on a smaller scale for when you step up? I know the other benefits and thats why I went with them, but do they prepare you for the others. That is the only real thing I can think of. Of course I am newer to the monitor game. They allow you to get an idea of general monitor husbandry on a small scale. They also allow you to make mistakes in your husbandry on a small scale (and correct as needed). From there, once you have some established record of results you can apply that to other monitors (both larger and smaller) and adjust as needed.

You have made a great choice with ackies, they truely are a blast and are by far my favorite lizard (out of the ones I have worked with).

Cheers,
Mike.
