how much to feed

how much should a 2 foot 1 year old savannah monitor be eating I have heard lots of different opinions about this and would like to hear some of yours

It depends on your husbandry. If you keep him poorly, you only feed a little. If you keep it ideally, you feed much more.

So how do you keep yours?

right now hes in a 2x4 cage with a 100* basking spot and a reptisun 5.0 he gets fed 2-3 times a week at about 3 to 4 adult mice at a time

With that kind of temp, you are going to get a fat unhealthy Sav that won't live another two years. That is what you DON'T want.

It covers all aspects of modern monitor husbandry, from diet to temps to health issues.

Get your basking temp to 130F, with an ambient temp in the low to mid 80's. At those temps, attitude, color, and activity will improve, along with everything else.
