Pre litter shed?

disturbed May 25, 2009 03:03 PM

Was wondering if boas do a pre litter shed? I know they do a post ovulation shed then you count the days from that but do they shed rite before they lay also? Thanks for answers in advance

There is no set standard for sheds while gravid. More often then not, the female will have a POS, gestate and deliver her litter then go into a shed cycle. Problem is not all will follow the textbook breeding. Including but not limited to....

Not having a POS at all.

Having periodic sheds but none in hindsight were appropriate timing to have been a "POS".

Having a POS then having one or two interim sheds prior to delivering babies.

I know, not much help huh!!
