I got a new Eastern Milk Snake and I am not sure which kind of setup i need, hes only about 9 inches long and feeding on pinkies. i know its a nocturnal snake. Do i pretty much just need under tank heater or do i need uvb, uva lighting and stuff? pics would be nice thanks

Milks snakes do not require UV light. Room lighting is fine. The snake should have a heat pad under part of its cage, heating a section of the floor to the upper 80s (use a thermometer to check temperatures - heat pads sometimes go way too high). Easterns like a substrate to dig in (aspen bedding or Care Fresh). You can fine quite a bit of information by doing a Google search for "milk snake care sheet."

On top of that last post, also make sure the container you choose has a secure lid. Kings and milks are "AVID" escape artists! Rich

I've noticed that many NA milks show a better feeding response when kept in a smaller/more secure enclosure.
