Question about sexing babies

Rosebuds May 25, 2009 04:58 PM

I have three out, one hatching now, and one more right on its heals. So, can these babies be sexed visually? I have two very vividly colored babies, color down their legs and tails, and one that has less color in the legs and tail. Does this mean I have two males and a female so far, or is it impossible to tell just yet?

Donna,
With most baby collaris, it is prety easy to tell.
The males should already show enlarged post anal scales.
The females will lack the enlarges post anals, and should also have a dark dot on each side of the vent. Look at your adults for comparrison.
Congratulations.
