i am looking into things like ultra sonic foggers, waterfalls, misting systems, what works best?

I have had one of those junky foggers laying around for ahwile. I tried using it for my frogs, and it wouldnt work in the shallow dish. then when i got the water dragon,who has a deeper pool, it works awesome in there. i also use live plants in her home,and mist twice a day. it all helps. i recommend the fogger.

Of all the things I tried, the Big Apple Mister from Bigappleherp.com worked the best. It costs about $100 and works like a charm. Let me make a suggestion if you go that route. For the first several weeks keep the timer in an easily reachable place, you WILL need to play with the timing. If it's running to often or for too long, it may seem okay, but after a week or so you'll have a pond in the substrate, and it goes the opposite way as well. It took me about 3 weeks and probably 7 or 8 different combos or amount of times per day and lenght of time to get it just right. I think after all was said and done I had it going about 12 times a day for 1 minute and it was just right. It depends on your substrate, heat and lights, size of tank etc... But once it was all set all I had to do was refill the tank every couple of days. lissag25 bought it from me when she adopted my WD.
BTW alisa, how is Frog, how's the mister working out for you, and how are the beardie(s) you bought at the show doing. Love to see pics if you got'em.

frog is doing great..her new cage is almost done..... and has a ton of fake plants she loves to hide in or lounge on all day.. she also slops around in her pool alot and makes a mess of the substrate ... so i don't use the mister much in her cage.... but that thing is great... i have it on suzs cage right now and i love it... ohh and you were right about her not eating anything dead. i tried giving her pinkies and fuzzies i tried to simulate movement by using a tweezers but she doesn't like to eat in front of me...she went to the vet last month for a fecal and it was clear...and when she comes out she likes to go in my amiore and under my bed... all the places i can't get her..hehe.. ohh and the beardies are great.. spike is a jealous lil guy with all the new critters around and the new beardie Dojo is getting big and is coloring up nicely.. i don't have pics but i will soon.. i am boworring a digi cam next week so i'll either e-mail them to you or post them here and on the beardie forum ..

Yea, I JUST ran across those a few days ago. It's hard to find them becuase the kingsnake search (at least for me) is horrible. I had to put your name in the search box and hit search over and over and over at least 10 times (with out changing anything mind you) before the pics popped up. What's strange..if I put my name in the search box and keep hitting search over and over until something pops up, usually one pic will pop up, I'll click on it, then click on show all of JoeyP's pictures and up come the other 10. Oh well.

hrmmm..that is weird.. anyway.. i just looked at your pics and she probably doesn't even know she moved.. she has the same pool, the same dirt/bedding.... i think she is quite content..when i open up her cage to come out she doesn't want to.. at first she always wanted to come out.. now all she does is lay on those plants or jump from one side of the cage into the pool splashing water everywhere...she gets her new cage shortly i think i'll wait to take pics then.. its gonna be a lil smaller then i intended only 3.5x2x5...about 250 gallons..my dad is making it for me otherwise it would be done already..haha.. anyways you'll have those pics in another couple of weeks.. she should be nice and green by then..she still is alittle brown on her head and legs from shedding
