One step closer to halloween corns! duw

WolfenWarrior May 25, 2009 10:25 PM

I just purchased a clutch of extreme reverse okees (minus 1.1 holdbacks) and I think they will be perfect for my halloween (orange and black) and reverse halloween (white and orange) okee project. I'm so excited about these guys!

Here's the females:

And here's the males:

Very Nice. At least one in there looks like the one posted by Roylance. I would guess they are his stock?
They are all amazing looking

Thats cool. I've been working on Halloween Okeetees for a few years now. I should be producing them this coming season. I posted on another cornsnake fourm pics and a project description this season.

My extreme okeetee line is really taking thick borders to the "extreme"-lol... Very excited about my Halloween Okeetees.

My line are the Ornage/Black animals... Here is a picture of a sub-adult male (He'll be breeding this coming season). Horrible picture but he's the most extremely thick bordered okeetee I've ever seen... look at how far the SOLID BLACK BLOTCHES come up from the tail.

I've tried doing the reverse okeetee route BUT when you cross them into normal colored okeetees, you end up with some "abbott" looking animals... the borders just don't stay as thick. Of course with selective breeding you can thicken them more.

I'll handpick the best babies next year after raising them for a while to continue/refine the line even more... Gotta love the orange & black HALLOWEEN coloration!

Good luck on your project- those reverse okeetees are looking good! Don S. at South mountain Reptiles has some really thick bordered "High White" reverse okeetees that he sales... jaw dropping!

Here's a pic of my breeder male from my "Extreme Okeetee" line. The line is from breeding the "best of the best" animals from multiple top bloodlines... They are a classic thick bordered Okeetee het for nothin'..lol... Although I'm working with projects like Tessera Corns and Terrazzo's, nothing beats a good okeetee!
