Snakes back pops??

knigh006 May 26, 2009 06:15 PM

Ive got a borneo python thats about 6 months old. The other day I was trying to make her use the bathroom, using warm water and a paper towel. I was rubbin her down, and down prolly 3 -4 inches above her tail, her back would pop. Happened again today when I put her in her cage. Is this common? Should I take her to the vet?

It happens sometimes. It's about the same as when your back pops when you stretch or bend over or something. Nothing to worry about.

And you probably don't need to help your snake defecate. They normally don't go very often....just make sure your snake has water and is eating normally, and it will go.
