New Camera and Updated baby Pic's..DUW..

1radsunglow May 27, 2009 02:10 PM

For those of you that didnt know Heather and I had 14 babies on 5/3/09 of this month. Mom died shortly after and we lost the runt and two others in the litter. The other 11 are doing great. These pictures were taken with a Canon SX 100 IS. The picture quality is much better than my other camera. Flash was used for these photos. When I got momma off of craigslist, I asked if she was a jungle? Some said have to wait and see and others said no. My question is why do alot of the babies carry abberant saddels like mom and have red eyes? Is the red eyes something that is normal in litters? Thank you for any and all opinions.

I didn't want to answer since I don't have first hand experience with jungle litters but I have seen some young ones in person a few times now, so sure, I'll offer my opinion.

To me, those babies look like normal colombian babies, some nice ones, but just normals.

Also, I highly doubt that there would be a jungle boa on craigslist that would not be advertised as such. Jungles, esp. one old enough to breed, were very expensive just a couple years ago and people on craigslist almost always ask for at least if not more than 'standard market value'. Not saying it couldn't happen but that the chances of it happening seem incredibly slim.

I am so sorry the original posted lost the mom but at least they have some beautiful little babies. Congrats on the litter!
