Thinking of getting an ally snapper

thomas_dixon888 Sep 13, 2003 07:33 PM

Hi,
Today my little snapper escaped from his little pool. No worry, I'll buy another one. Maybe a bigger one. I'm only 15 and was wondering if I should get an alligator snapper. My reason is because their neck can't reach back, their not really quick snappers (biters), and their easy to hold when their an adult. (behind the head and the carapace) What's the minimum size stock tank for these guys. I am STILL on the search for a stock tank.

If your response to the loss of your animal is merely “No worry, I'll buy another one. Maybe a bigger one.” then I don't think that you are mature enough to take care of anything.

Your “little snapper” was a living breathing being, and “yes, worry” would have been better. Is it still alive? Did it really escape or was it taken by a predator, or stolen by somebody? Is it injured? Wherever it is now, will it be okay?

Animals are not throw-away items such that, when they get used up, you merely “buy another one.”

Can you answer these questions that Odyessy asked me when I wanted to get a Turtle?

How old are you?
How rich are you?
How mobile are you?
How much space do you have?
Inside or outside?
Water or land turtle?
One turtle or several?
Big or small?
Kept with other animals or solitary?
Rare or common?
Expensive or not?
Unusual or ordinary?
Exhibit or pet?
Long term or just a year or two?

You have absolutely no business with an ally snapper. Oh well i'll just buy another? i'm also 15 but my god. I havve both a common and an ally. i have had several to die on me but it was because I was dumb. i could go on and on and on but why do it. You will prob. just go out and buy one anyways and it'll die. You sound very irresponsible
