Looks like the no substrate method to me, less to go wrong that way , less stuff for mold to grow on I have always thought . That's alot like how I do it too, same principles anyway. I just have smaller tubs with 1 large clutch or 2 small clutches in each tub , I use Pvc and plastic mesh instead with about 1/2" of water underneath the pvc and I do it in a walk in room that's run by a big Helix system instead of an actual incubator.

I use the not substrate method...kinda...
I put Wet Perilite in the tub, then light grating over it...then eggs, and done.

That's easy enough too! So the perlite just supports the grate and keeps things in place better then I suppose.

Yeah, only instead of having one big open box for all the clutches, I have two smaller boxes. (I only have two breeding females at the moment).
