well I finally got out, and finally found adult eastern milks...never actually did that before...we found small ones ,normal ones, and a pair of 4 footers...!...one ribbon, about a dozen garters and one N water.....not that great ,but PA sucks for cool stuff....

oddest milk....intersection of roads,stop, pull over, right at stop sign there was like 2 rocks,(small) guy says they found 3 milks there last week...?....I'm thinking why? there is nothing there, flip the rocks and some leaves and he pulls a 3 1/2 foot male out...so I get out of car and wonder again, why is this milk here?...a foot off the road surface....there was a sandbag from the road crew left there, I tell the other guy to lift the bag and remember to look in it...he lifts it and says yea, there's one in it....a small one maybe 2 -2 1/2 yr old.....funny stuff...and not the same as the last 3 he saw there....(they are all still there)....as he thinks, there HAS to be holes under the roadway and all for those snakes to go into ......

so....PA does have milks around, and if we can find 9 in one day, you have to be in the right area at the right times....

...I know, no pics....I have 3 cameras and just got a new video camera last week, the other guys have them too, it was mentioned that we should have brought one....

maybe tomorrow...?.....(new state?)....maybe ....

Hey Jeff,me and a buddy went to a spot a few weeks ago in Lycoming county where he found lots of easterns milks and timbers last year during spring gobbler season.It was back when we had them few days in the 90's.Got in there too late.Too hot and snakes must have been down under.Anyway he says last year there seemed to be a milk under every rock.
Going to go again on a cooler day and get there early when the snakes should be basking(timbers.
I'll tell ya bout it at the next Hamburg show.
I do have a spot at a saw mill near my home that has lots of easterns.Lots of tin roofing laying around and they are always under that kind of stuff till the tin gets too hot.

hey guys!finally someone gettin' something here in pa!i was just getting on here to post about my disappointing day in french creek.where you fella's at?i'm in pottstwn.

....we were near MD......where you are looking ,you look for snakes to come out and sun themselves, we were finding them under,before they came out, the weather wasn't good for sunning, only one garter was actually on top trying to thermoregulate herself.....

the one guy I was with went northward sorta your way, I really don't know where it is, a rattler hill, dens and all....looong walks.....and he saw nothing yesterday either....

.......more rain,.....if sun comes out, they will be on top right after.....

Cool.....too far for me to drive to Lycoming for a day trip...
I was in Tioga/Potter /I thought Lycoming? whatever is by Potter.....years ago....found one redbelly,a garter,slimy sals and like 24 or 27 ringnecks...huge ones even, and up to 4 or 5 under one rock.....ringnecks all i9n one very small area along a creek,hot out,rocky....

....tomorrow is a bust.....no idea if I'll get out anywhere better than around here or out at all.....

...good luck.........I need to go out westwardly.....wait...just as easy to email and pay for stuff...too easy actually....
